22/10/07 - 2007 Foal Gallery updated with 7 foals (not all mine!)

Splitters Creek Summer Collection now showing!

25/8/07 First progeny of Hyksos Benjamin to be broken to saddle - anglo filly SC Ruby owned by Karen Carter of Watchem
VIC, and ridden by her daughter Paige.

Karen writes: Had first canter today on Ruby, gosh so slow and comfy she's such a good
girl. Then rode her to letter box, tied her to tree whilst i got mail then
rode her home, no dramas what so ever. Not bad for a 2yo undersaddle just a
week. Wish they were all this quiet.
Then she got her feet trimmed, tail washed and mane pulled, cant say she was
too impressed with all that, but she tolerated it all.

5/8/07 Snuggling up Splitters Creek style - SC Mia and son SC Red Valentine aka Scratchie

15/7/07 Tina Camm visits from Ocean Grove VIC and brings her weanling filly 'Indy' for a holiday at Splitters Creek. She is a real Ben baby, with a good dash of gypo and polish thrown in from her mum's side. View pedigree.

9/7/07 Testamonial (unpaid!) from Shannon McGill re 7 mth old Piney Range Red Diamond. Another satisfied customer!

"Gosh I can’t begin to tell you how amazing that filly is! We are having breakthroughs in our relationship EVERY day!
Yesterday Diamond and I played ‘chasey’ around the top paddock and a large pine tree and today she let my sit on her while
she was laying down sunning herself! What a temperament!!!

You so need to put Jewel over Claire again Catherine. What a combo they have made!

Do you know how much FUN I was having playing with Diamond yesterday? I felt so privileged to have her wanting to be with
me so much and that she trusts me enough to let me in.
I can’t believe that she allowed me to sit on her, though I was
VERY careful not to hurt her but still…..WOW!

Brimming with excitement is what I am tonight.
Wish there’d been someone else there with a video camera so I could show you!"

8/7/07 The oats on 2/3 of my farm are growing so vigorously they needed topping off by stock.
Much excitement all round as my main two mobs of horses are set free on it.

'All the leaves are brown and the sky is' ...well blue.
The upside of a drought - I haven't had to mow the lawn for 3 years
Important equipment is installed (that's a rain guage for you townies) (they don't call me the eternal optimist for nothing and its going to rain for sure now as I just bought 20 tonne of rice straw...)

to correct an inwardly growing eyelid.

see my stitches?? ......it didn't hurt a bit - not looking forward to having them out though!!

Cudglebar Tarquin (Cairo imp NZ x Cudglebar Midi) aka the 'chestnut flyer' aka the 'red terror' aka 'Ginge' clocks up some spectacular results with Duncan McLaughlin, ...Congratulations although you still haven't told me what you paid Sue for him.

Then at Queanbyean for a 3rd, with a 'real' jockey...(who reportedly said 'I can't ride that little thing' - how unkind)
Voted by all the young ladies as the most handsome thing out (the horse of course)

24/3/07 Visit from Karen Carter, her mum and daughter Paige, from Watchem in VIC - owners of SC Ruby and SC Brontie. Below, Paige checking out Ruby's full brother SC Titan (Hyksos Benjamin x Aloha Royal Lady). In fact all the horses were surprised to see such a bright little object in the paddock!
Below SC Red Vogue (SC Red Jewel x Aloha Zamia) decided to show off for the visitors.

Above, Karen's girls sure growing now. SC Brontie (SC Fortitude x standardbred SC Lucy) at 2 1/2, and what exactly is that thing behind the gate in pyjamas?
and SC Ruby now 18 months old. A grumble bum around feed - just like her Dad!
And check out that Karen's shed building abilities, you really must visit here more often (and bring your drill and stuff)...

Congratulations to Shanon Mc on her purchase of the first Piney Range foal PR Red Diamond.
