Ben is a favourite of many visitors to Splitters Creek. An athletic and gentle natured stallion. Ben was started under saddle in 2004 and broken to harness in 2005.In 2006 he spent some time with Duncan McLaughlin near Canberra for his first endurance preparation and basic education. At the time Duncan's comments:
"Hyksos Benjamin is a correct, good moving, athletic Arabian stallion with outstanding riding horse conformation.
Most importantly, he has a terrific and trainable temperament.
His calm acceptance and quick uptake are exactly what I love to see in a performance horse and sire."
Ben now
has 12 youngsters running around. The oldest are now rising 3yo.
A number of these have been broken to saddle and I have been receiving great
feedback on their
trainability and docile temperaments.
